Linea Azzurra Trading – Corporate IT Infrastructure
The Client
Linea Azzurra Trading SRL is a Rome-based food distribution company with enterprise clients including Unilever (Algida) and Sammontana, and international commercial relationships with suppliers in China, Switzerland, Hungary, and Sweden. The need was to equip the Rome office with a complete, reliable IT infrastructure independent from third-party services for day-to-day operations.
The Project
Design, implementation, and management of the entire IT infrastructure for the Rome office, from network equipment to internal application services, with the goal of improving operational reliability and eliminating dependencies on external providers for core services.
Local Server
The heart of the internal infrastructure is a Unix server based on Fedora Linux, configured to deliver internal company services. The OpenCloud platform was installed and configured on the machine for centralised management of company files and documents, providing the team with a secure, locally-hosted cloud storage environment accessible from the internal network.
Network & Security
The entire network architecture for the office was designed and implemented, including proxy and firewall configuration for perimeter protection and control of inbound and outbound traffic.
VoIP
The internal and client communication system was migrated to VoIP infrastructure, reducing telephony costs and integrating the phone system with the company's IT environment.
Result
The infrastructure eliminated dependency on third-party services for storage, documentation, and communication, improving the overall operational reliability of the office and reducing long-term IT management costs.
